Ukrainian Surnames consist of three or four very common endings. The most common of all, is the ending -enko. One only has to read any current news article about Ukraine, to discover just how common this is, with politicians, artists, and sports stars all bearing a name with this suffix.
The other very common endings are -ko, -uk, and -ych.
