23rd - Day of Russian Army - This is an official celebration to honor the Russian armed forces. It is also a day to celebrate men, in the same way that March 8th is a celebration for women.

1st - Labor Day
9th - Day of Victory (in WW2) - On this day in Red Square, Moscow, is a parade of all of the armed forces of Russia.


June

12th - Day of Independence of Russia (to mark the end of the Soviet Empire)


November

4th - Day of Unity of Russian Folk - A very recent holiday that celebrates the 1612 victory over Polish/Lithuanian invaders attempting to capture Moscow.
