How to Celebrate Christmas, Russian Style!
Christmas
in Russia falls on the 7th of January, according to the Orthodox
Calendar. It is a smaller celebration in comparison with New Year,
however it is once again becoming a major holiday celebration in
Russia. The celebration continues for 12 days after Christmas day,
during a period known as 'Svyatki'.
