How to Celebrate Valentines Day, Russian Style!

Valentines Day is becoming increasingly popular in Russian society. It is, however, not as big as the celebration for Women's Day, on the 8th of March. If you forget to spoil the special woman in your life on Women's Day, you will be in trouble!

As for Valentines Day, Russian people mark the day in a similar fashion to western cultures. Flowers, chocolates, and intimate gifts will be well received. (Just remember not to give her an even number of flowers... in Russia even numbers of flowers are only given for funerals.)
