Hurdle #4 when Dating a Russian Woman - Initial Correspondence
The major challenge of hurdle number 4 is to determine from initial correspondence, the following:
- Am I really interested in her?
- Is she really interested in me?
First
of all, be aware that everyone (sooner or later) will come across
someone who is not genuine about looking for a husband abroad. Maybe
the girl is just looking around to see what foreign men are like, or
maybe she is bored and simply playing games by writing to men. The
worst possibility is that you will come across someone who is a
scammer. Certainly, if you use dating sites other than the reputable

Assuming that you are corresponding with a Russian woman who is genuine (and the overwhelming majority of girls you will meet online ARE genuine), the initial correspondence period is an opportunity for both of you to get to know each other better and to determine if you are interested in taking your relationship further.
After a few letters, it should be pretty clear to you whether this girl is a real possibility for you. Remember back at hurdle number three where you created your list of qualities you're looking for? Well, keep this in mind always when you're corresponding with someone, and again follow your instincts to determine if you are really interested or not.
