If you're new to Russian dating, and you're not quite sure if a Russian woman is right for you or not, please also read
Dating a Russian Woman.
That article discusses the 7 hurdles of Russian dating, and the first
hurdle will help you to decide if it's the right choice for you.
Now that you know how to
meet Russian women, let's focus on some key steps in your courtship.
As
mentioned, when you allow yourself to be open to the cold, hard fact
that Russian dating is different, you'll begin to see why this is
crucial if you really want to be in a serious relationship with a
Russian woman.
Unfortunately, for a large percentage of people using the Russian
dating services (this includes Russian women AND foreign men alike),
this cultural difference prevents them from finding true love. What's
worse is that this can easily be avoided if you simply find out
why Russian relationships are different... and
how to succeed.
The great news is that it can be done! And it's definitely worth it,
when you get to experience the amazing love, passion and warmth of a
Russian woman truly in love.
The Best Way to Date Russian Women...
1. Greeting her for the first time
When
you first greet a Russian woman, it is customary to shake hands - NOT
to kiss her on the cheek. Obviously, you should not shake her hand too
firmly (you don't want to crush her delicate fingers!), nor too softly.
Greet her with a pleasantly firm handshake and look her in the eyes to
show you are open and honest.
2. Your first date
Dress appropriately. If you're in Russia, this means dress smartly, and dress according to where you're taking her.
Take her somewhere nice where you can talk and get to know each
other. A cafe or restaurant is often a good choice, but be
creative and think about what interests your particular lady has.
Bring flowers. Russian women are used to men who show their interest and present her with signs of their romantic interest.
3. Etiquette
Chivalry is key. In many western societies, the much-needed reforms for
equality between the sexes has also resulted in a loss of chivalry and
traditional relationships between men and women.
In Russian society, however, men still act very much in a chivalrous
manner, by opening doors for women, helping them with their coats, and
so forth.
4. Money
Ok, this is always a topic of interest!
You should know that Russian men ALWAYS pay for their women. This means
that a Russian woman will not have to pay for her meal, for instance,
if she is out with her husband / boyfriend, as well as her father,
brother, and any other male friends.
Please remember this important point. If you are not willing to pay for
your girlfriend while you are dating her, she will consider you to be
greedy. I know this may seem harsh, but please remember it's simply one
of the important differences in culture that you need to know to date Russian women.
(This doesn't mean you shouldn't be smart and thorough and look for the
tell-tale signs of the small percentage of women who are scammers.)
5. Be in control
Russian women will always be comparing you to men in their own country.
Yes, there are some qualities of Russian men that do NOT appeal to
Russian women (such as alcoholism and physical violence), but on the
whole, there are many fine traits, such as generosity, and their caring
and strong nature.
When you date Russian women, you should take control always, by organising everything and making sure your lady is looked after.
6. Say it right
The biggest mistake most guys make when they date Russian women is that
they don't take the time to learn Russian. Along with cultural
challenges, the language barrier is the single biggest reason why these
relationships fail.
From our own experiences (and from those of other guys who have done it
before)... learning to speak Russian is the single most important thing
you can do to improve your chances with Russian women. You will notice
what a difference this makes straight away.
